Unique Features: Silverstone uniqueness lies in it's airfield origins, which give it a fast, flowing, and wide layout with high-speed sections like the Maggotts and Becketts complex. It is also known as the birthplace of Formula 1, hosting the very first World Championship Grand Prix in 1950.
Over the decades, the track has undergone numerous upgrades to improve safety and racing quality, including track layout changes in the 1990s and 2010s. Despite changes, it has retained it's reputation as a challenging track and has hosted it's share of memorable moments such as Nigel Mansell's emotional 1987 victory marked by a famous crowd invasion.
Silverstone remains the home of British motorsport, blending modern facilities with a rich racing heritage, and continues to host the British Grand Prix.
