Arsenal Football Club is one of England’s most successful and respected clubs in football. Since their foundation in Woolwich in 1886, under the name Dial Square, and shortly after Royal Arsenal, the club has gone from strength to strength. In 1913 Arsenal moved to Highbury Stadium and removed Woolwich from their name simply becoming Arsenal. The club won several trophies in the first half century of the 1900s including 6 league titles.
Arsenal’s transformative period began in 1996 in the Arsene Wenger era of the club. Wenger transformed the club immediately on his arrival, changing the culture of the club from training , nutrition and style of football. Wenger’s Arsenal side won 17 major trophies under his reign at the club, but it was one achievement that topped the lot. In the 2003/04 Premier League season Arsenal with the help of players such as Thierry Henry, Denis Bergkamp and Patrick Vieira did the unthinkable winning the Premier League title without losing a single game. This achievement dubbed that Arsenal side as ‘The Invincibles’ a side that is often mentioned as the best to ever grace the Premier League.
Arsenal have struggled to repeat the same success since Wenger left the club in 2018, but now under Mikel Arteta the club look to be heading in the right direction. Under Arteta Arsenal have just barely missed out on the title in the last two seasons, being second to the Manchester City juggernaut in back to back seasons.
Arsenal are the 3rd most successful English football club with 49 major trophies in their trophy cabinet. Their most successful period was under Arsene Wenger where they won 3 league titles and 7 FA Cups. Arsenal are the most successful side in the FA Cup winning a record breaking 14 FA Cup trophies. Despite the club's domestic success, the Gunners have struggled to establish themselves on the European stage. The closest they’ve come to Champions League glory was in 2006 as they were narrowly beaten by Barcelona 2-1 in the final.
League Titles - 13

FA Cup - 14
League Cup - 2
Arsenal currently have one of the strongest sides in world football. Their squad is filled with world class talent with the likes of Bukayo Saka, Martin Odegaard and Declan Rice being standout names. In addition to their current stars, the future of the Arsenal squad also looks bright with young talents such as Ethan Nwanari and Myles Lewis-Skelly breaking through in the 2024/25 campaign. The only notable weakness in this Arsenal side would be the striker position, and Arsenal fans will be hoping that the club will seek out a new number 9 in the upcoming transfer window.
Arsenal are a side with incredible history and an exciting future and have amassed a huge following all over the world. The popularity of the club surged under Arsene Wenger, as he established his exciting attacking football, brought in several of the clubs most notable legends and backed it up with success on the pitch. Under Arsene Wenger iconic names such as Thierry Henry, Robin van Persie and Mesut Ozil all built a legacy for themselves at the club producing countless memorable moments that helped create and sustain worldwide popularity of the club.
Arsenal are amongst the most respected clubs in football, as they are seen as a club shaped by years of history and success. In comparison to many other clubs in Europe Arsenal have been seen as a well run financially successful club. This has certainly translated to the pitch as they have created a legacy of great players, rivalries such as the North London Derby and moments that have helped establish the club as one of football's best. All that's missing is the illustrious Champions League trophy that the side have dreamt about lifting for many years.

Arsenal moved into the Emirates in 2006, it is the 5th largest stadium in English football. Arsenal implemented the Arsenalisation project in 2009 to help maintain the character of the club after its move from Highbury stadium. This project included implementing murals, photographs, banners and more to help keep the history and soul of Arsenal Football Club after their move to the Emirates.
The stadium is named after their major club sponsor Emirates Airline and the airline will have naming rights until at least 2028. The stadium is still one of the most modern in England, and is the only club in the Premier League to install padded seats throughout the entire stadium, adding a premium feel to the stadium.
