    Liverpool FC history

Founded in 1892 by John Houlding, Liverpool FC quickly rose to prominence, becoming one of England's most successful football clubs. The club’s golden era began under Bill Shankly in the 1960s, who instilled a strong work ethic, loyalty, and tactical discipline. His establishment of the "Boot Room" set the foundation for the club’s success, leading to numerous league titles and domestic cups. Bob Paisley, Shankly's successor, further elevated the club, winning 20 major trophies, including 3 European Cups, making Liverpool a force in both domestic and European football. After years without a Premier League title, Jurgen Klopp's appointment in 2015 reignited the club’s success. Under Klopp, Liverpool won their sixth Champions League title in 2019 and, in the 2019/20 season, finally clinched their long-awaited Premier League title, ending a 30-year drought.

Mohammed Salah is often regarded as one of the greatest Liverpool and Premier League players of all time, scoring 245 goals for Liverpool in his 401 appearances. Virgil van Dijk is referred to by many as the ‘Rolls Royce’ of centre backs, mainly due to his ability to make defending look easy and he’s also as ‘calm as you like’. Liverpool will be looking to retain the Premier League title in Arne Slot’s second season with this remarkable Liverpool side.

    Fanbase & Reputation

While Liverpool FC is primarily known for its rich history and domestic and European success, the club has also become a worldwide phenomenon. With a huge local and international following the club has evolved into more than just a football club, but a way of life for many fans.
