The Red Bull Ring began life in 1969, orginally as the Österreichring, a dazzling but demanding circuit that rapidly became a favourite in the early days of Formula 1. Safety concerns however, led to a major redesign, reopening in 1997 as the A1-Ring and made its return to the F1 calander before closing again in the mid-2000s.
Red Bull relaunched the track in 2011, creating a state-of-the-art venue that brought Formula 1 back to Austria in 2014. Today the circuit remains rooted in it's historical legacy, delivering high-speed, dramatic racing.
