How to Get to the Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps

By Car:

The rural location of the Spa-Francorchamps circuit makes the Belgian Grand Prix the perfect excuse for a extraordinary European roadtrip. Many race fans choose to drive, especially when camping is such a huge form of accomodation.

Travelling from the UK, the Dover to Dunkirk link is the best choice to mainland Europe.

Be prepared for narrow, rural roads that will make this one of the most spectacular drives you'll ever take.

Parking passes will be available on the circuits website nearer the time of the event. Parking spaces must be bought ahead of arrival as they will not be available on the day.

By Bus or Train:

The closest major train station to the circuit is Virviers Central, which is around 20km from the track. Spa-Geronstere is closer, just 10km from the circuit but has much fewer links to major cities.

Once arriving at Virviers, you will hop on a bus that will take you the the track. From here, it is a 15 minute walk to La Source entrance.

A cheaper way to attend the Belgain Grand Prix is by taking a city shuttle bus. There are several that link neighbouring major cities across five different nations with the Spa-Francorchamps.

These include:

  • Bruxelles-Midi
  • Bruxelles-Nord
  • Lille
  • Luxembourg
  • Liège
  • Aix-La-Chapelle
  • Anvers
  • Charleroi
  • Maastricht
  • Mons
  • Namur
  • Düsseldorf
  • Eindhoven

By Air:

The closest airport is Maasstricht Aachen in Germany, just 80km from the circuit. However, this airport has very little international flights.

Many F1 fans choose to fly into Luxembourg Airpot, 110km south of Spa and is served by many more flights.

Cologne Bonn Airport is slightly furhter away but has better air and ground connections to the circuit.
